With a name like that, Marion Le Crayon had no choice but to become an artist. She probably would have preferred to be called Marion La Millionaire but 'millionaire' doesn't quite rhyme with Marion, and she would have had to change her first name to Claire.
It all started really early in her life with stick figures and scribbles. Later on she grew an absolute obsession to watch the caricature artists of the nearest touristy town. She one day asked them: 'how do I become as good and as fast as you guys?' The answer came in, between 2 quick silly drawings: "You just have to practice".. There was the secret wisdom of every good artists.
And practice she did! She drew passionately for many happy years, and even went to art school in France where she learnt 2D animation.
She now lives with her husband and 2 children in Fremantle, where she still has a passion for caricature, live and commissioned, and for art in general.
